Shields, represented by a green bar, must be depleted before damage can be inflicted on the Hull. While any amount of Shields remain, they will attempt to recharge (refill). Once fully drained, the Shields will fail and damage will be inflicted on the Hull, shown as a grey bar., The time required to complete a Faction Mission starts at a mere 30 seconds. As the Captain continues to send shuttles, this time increases. These timers are Faction-dependant, e.g. after engaging several Federation Faction Missions, the timer will be 2-3 hours per Mission, but other Factions will have low timers.
