The difference between this and the 229 is the m11 has an upgraded trigger, no rail, phosphate coated internals, and sig night light sights. From what I understand this gun is based off an older 228 model that is long since discontinued. The 226 is a bit longer. The 226 equivalent of this gun is the 226 navy.
