How to disassemble a maytag washing machine

Lower the top panel and remove the screws that secure the rear control console shield from the back of the top panel. Label and remove the wire connections for the pressure switch and feed hose. Lift the top panel off of the washer and out of your way. Remove the hex head screws that secure the front panel to the side panels with a socket wrench.
