Comparing a lot of weapons to bloodhounds fang has the same effect. Fang is simply a solid weapon the whole game through, with good poise damage, a unique and very good art of war, and does all physical so it's always at least somewhat effective. Elenoras is a blast to use though, and if you learn it's spacing it can also be very effective.Eleonora's Poleblade shouldn't be your only weapon. There are a lot of enemies and bosses who are immune to bleeding/resistant to fire or are too mobile for you to proc bleeding. Regalia of Eochaid is a fantastic back up option since it doesn't proc bleed nor deals fire damage AND scales primarily with Arcane. The only thing the Poleblade may win in is the Weapon Art, which staggers enemies faster and easier.
