The weapons system in Breakpoint can be a little confusing at first. It has more in common with games like The Division 2 than previous Ghost Recon games, with weapon rarity and random drops aplenty.

The M82 Barrett is a Sniper Rifle. The M82 is one of the highest damage-per-shot weapons in Breakpoint, capable of killing human targets in one shot almost anywhere on the body. Uniquely, the M82 is the only semi-automatic sniper rifle, giving it a rate of fire advantage over the bolt-action rifles that pays off when engaging moving hardened targets like drones and armored vehicles from far ...M4. The M4 has the highest damage out of all in its class, but this is balanced by its low mobility. It's a powerful weapon and its reload speed is offset after every kill with its +10 reload speed passive.AR range also doesn't matter, for long range you got a sniper rifle. When playing with a single weapon slot you should be using DMR to begin with it you're going for efficiency. It's a lot more flexible weapon type than an AR. M4A1 or 516 both are very good in my opinion and can be used at all ranges to a good extent.First and foremost: A designated marksman in Breakpoint works best with a squad (and yes, AI teammates work well here).
